Sir,

As a result of the meeting of Pre-war Officers held

on Saturday the 21st. December 1945, the following resolutions

were made :-

It was unanimously agreed that the time limit given

to comply with the Memorandum is insufficient, whereby study,

discussion and exchange of views with Officers absent from

the Colony is impossible.

That the enforcing of the scheme proposed by the

Memorandum should be deferred pending the result of dis-

cussion.

It was unanimously agreed that the terms of the

Memorandum should be refused and a scheme more favourable

and in keeping with the present policy of Government be

drawn up and submitted to the Authorities.
